As a volunteer, you are a part of a rich community that we take great care in fostering. We look for individuals of all ages coming from a variety of backgrounds with a willingness to give back to the Suffolk community. Volunteers help by providing a voice for our organization. They share their wealth of life experience, wisdom, and skills to enable our organization and mission to grow. Volunteers fulfill many valuable roles such as in person outreach, help with fundraising, assistance at social events, and support our program by lending their voice as an advocate for the free services we offer.
The volunteer commitment is flexible based on your schedule and needs. We provide community service hours, and free monthly social events. Please consider sharing your knowledge, skills and compassion with us. With your help, we can assist yet another new adult in need of guidance and support.
Volunteers can be assured that M&M will:
- Provide feedback;
- Acknowledge your services;
- Listen to your opinions, suggestions and concerns;
- Provide a safe environment to work in;
- Accord you with a spirit of friendliness and cooperation.
Volunteers are expected to:
- Honor their commitment to service;
- Follow through and complete tasks in a timely manner;
- Be courteous and respectful to fellow volunteers, staff and the community;
- Have team spirit and cooperate with other volunteers and staff.
Suffolk L.I. M& M welcomes community service volunteers from civic groups, schools, community assistance programs, and the judicial system.
